    mSATA SSD 128gb / 64gb for around $0.50/GB?

My laptop has an unused mSATA port and I would like to get an SSD to fill it.

I would like to use it for a ~35GB game and my OS.
So it needs to be probably 128gb or 120gb. But willing to get a 64gb just for the game.

I have seen some 128gb SSDs for about $55.

It's difficult for me to find an mSATA because they are always in with the regular SSDs.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a 60gb, 64gb, 120gb, or 128gb mSATA for about $0.50/GB?

Have you checked eBay lately? I've seen some crazy prices going for SSDs right now. Picked up a brand new Samsung 840 EVO 500GB for $189.99 shipped. It's not an mSATA, but I'm sure you'd be able to find something with a good price.

120GB is the minimum I'd feel comfortable with these days.

Most mSATA SSDs are roughly 50 cents per gigabyte at 200+ GB capacities. Since you plan to put your operating system on the SSD and programs can take up a lot more space than you think (especially games), and since 200+ GB SSDs tend to have better performance anyway, I'd recommend that you get a 240-256GB mSATA SSD instead. Yes, you'll be spending more initially. But in my opinion, it's better to spend more now on a higher-capacity drive than to realize later that you need more capacity, at which point you'd need to buy an additional higher-capacity drive and you'd have the spare initially purchased mSATA drive that won't work on anything else because by that point everything sold will be using M.2 slots.

I've had very good experience in the past with Plextor (Also badged as LITEON somtimes they're the same drive). Very reliable drives and have decent performance
