Has anyone been adventurous enough to make thier laptop speakers louder? I am talking about the laptops where everything is maxed out newest drivers etc. I am going to try some things out on my dv8000 then apply that to my asus g51j when it is out of warranty. actually my dv8000 is louder than the g51, but my x83 blows both of them away. I will try just using different speakers. Then I will take the circuit board out of one of those powered exeternal sets, I think that is the only thing that will work, i do believe the speakers in both laptops are capable just the soundcard is crap.

yes, I have turned up everything you can turn up. With the HP dv8000 I thought obviosly there was something wrong sent it in for repair about 3 times then I just choked it up to a pooor design, been a great laptop other than being big as hell and still have to carry speakers with it. that is my only disappoint with the g51j as well. Yeah hp can suck it after producing the tx1200 then treating its customers like crap by NOT FIX IT! the speakers will live on in the dv8000, it seem pretty loud I will use them in the experiment.
