got a quick question. is it okay to keep your display brightness at maximum? will an LCD display lose it's brightness over time if it is always set at it's maximum brightness? or maybe it might shorten it's life?

got an acer 5920g BTW if it's relevant.

    thanks!

It's fine to keep it at it's max brightness. It will not damage the LCD or cause it to die sooner than if kept at a lower brightness.

It won't shorten the life of your screen, but if you're running on battery, it'll definitely drain that faster.
