    maxtor 160GB Ext. HDD troubles

    ok, my friend recently got one of the afermentioned HDDs but it requires a password authentication to do anything and the school computers at my college don't allow you to use it on them so he needs to remove that password protection. Is there anyway to do this besides wiping the HDD and reformating?

    Sorry dude - You're not supposed to ask questions like that on this Forum, nor is anyone supposed to answer anything that has to do with security, bypassing passwords, etc.
