    According to Crucial, my Toshiba M35X takes this memory (copied from Crucial website):
    * model #: CT434029
    * size: 1GB
    * 200-pin SODIMM
    * DDR 333 PC2700
    * CL=2.5
    * Unbuffered
    * NON-ECC
    * 2.5V
    * 128Meg x 64

    Newegg has:
    * manufacturer: Crucial
    * model #: CT12864X335
    * size: 1GB
    * 200-Pin SODIMM
    * DDR 333 (PC 2700)
    * Unbuffered
    * NON-ECC
    * Cas Latency: 2.5
    * 2.5V

    Note that the models numbers are NOT THE SAME but everything else IS.

    I can save $30 if I buy from newegg but it's not worth the trouble if the memory might not work.

    Thanks.

    That memory card will work in your laptop. Chances are there are different Micron memory chips installed. Probably a newer revision memory cell. Regardless, it will work in your laptop since it is a 1GB PC2700 DDR sodimm memory card as is your original.
