    Hi there,

I'm new of this forum and I have a problem with my laptop.

I have an hp pavilion 5000 zv, with a p4 processor 3.3 Ghz, 512 Mb ram.

I have been able to change the slot which is on the bottom of the chase (upgrading the total memory to 728 Mb)

I'd like to change the other slot of memory also, in order to gain a Gigabyte of ram.

My problem is I'm not able to reach the second memory slot which is ment to be under the keyboard...

    any suggestion?

I don't find a way to open the chasis but breaking something....

Thanx in advance for the help

    see ya guys

Hp has always had good service manuals which explain the process of disassembling the laptop. This manual should explain the process...

    Hey

I was just wondering what type of memory can you place in those two slots?

Can you insert 2 X 1GB rams to make a total of 2GB's?

    Thanks in advance.
