    memory upgrade with less speed question

    Hi , i have the lg ls 50 notebook with 256 ddr 333 memory module from the factory .
    i got some 2 modules of 256 266 mhz ..
    my qustion is ... can i take out the 333 mhz module and change it to the 2x266 sticks and have 512 mb ?
    does it works with the pc 2100 modules ?

    It should work.

    Motherboards tend to have more trouble when trying to run memory at higher speed than what was included by the manufacturer.

    Yep, it should work, as i did that, i took out one of my 333 and put in a 266. You can also put in the 333 and one of the 266 together, but the memonry modules will function at the 266 speed.
