i'm having a problem with my computer mic. If I go into the master volume control, in windows, and un mute the mic, I get feedback. I didn't think that the mic was supposed to pick up noise unless you were useing a program that uses it. Also, I have to turn the mic volume all the way up and turn on the boost and even then it barely picks anything up. I've had this problem since I got my z81sp about 4 months ago and haven't had time to send it in for repairs (I use it for school)

Does this sound like a sound card problem???

It's preety universal with onboard mic on a laptop as they are usually too close to the speaker and they will pick up feedback. Using an external mic should fix that right up.
