i have a hp pavilion ze4400. i know that it has a open mini PCI card slot on it because i opted not to get the integrated wireless. i have been looking on the internet and found that i can get the one that came from hp originally. but i also want bluetooth too. so i was wondering if i could use the MSI MP54GBT2 wi-fi / bluetooth combo mini PCI card in the slot. Thanks for the help in advance :D

    Hello and welcome.

I am sorry, but that WIFI card is only for MSI notebooks and no others. You can try to install it but I doubt it that you wont have much luck.

    Sorry.

hmmm I took my intel 2200bg out of my sony laptop and put into others. It didn't work at first but I googled and found the PIN trick. It is now working flawlessly on laptop that has a minipci slot.

I recently bought an acer 5102WLMi. It has a switch for bluetooth but this model does not have bluetooth. does anyone know what kind of card acer uses (if I can stay factory I might as well) otherwise any recommendations on a bluetooth card. I assume I will have to get a wireless network/bluetooth combo. this is new territory for me so any input is appreciated.

    Link 1

    Link 2

also do you know how complicated an install this is?

I have built desktop machines so I have an understanding of what I am doing but I have never been inside a notebook.

    Thanks
