Ive got an acer 5670, and it has the type of cd drive that u insert the cd into and it kind of sucks the cd in. There is no ejectable cd tray. Ive got a mini-sized cd that i need to use but when i try and insert it, it wont go in...!
can anyone help, i dont know how to get this mini cd into my laptop![]()

It won't. Most slot loading optical drives won't accept anything but normal discs. A reason not to use mini-cd's.
-
only other option is to get an external drive, or use someone else's machine and burn a copy of the mini CD onto a regular sized CD and use that. And IMHO, it's a reason to not use slot-loading drives. More pain than they're worth.

Yeah, I hate slot loading drives, ever since I got a mini-disk stuck inside one.
Yay for tray load! -
thanx everyone, i think il burn the disk on to a regular sized cd. one more silly question... i put the mini cd into a pc with an ejecting type cd drive how do i then burn it to the regular cd?
-
Well, you just do a disc copy. Most burning programs will make a temporary copy on the hard drive and prompt you to insert a blank disc when it's done reading the info. Just stick the mini-cd in and use your burning software to copy the CD.

Um, use something like Nero to copy the CD, or you can use the .ISO creater to create an ISO image of the CD, and then use the same program to burn a copy of that ISO image.
