    i don't see why not. looks like you'd have to have the drive outside your notebook though.

    That's pretty cool.
    You won't see much performance from a device like that over an ATA SSD.
    You've also not considered how to get power to your hard drive.

    If you get an ATA SSD, it will perform fine compared to what you'd get using this card.

    If you NEED high performance, then I think you NEED a new laptop (one with modern technology like SATA)
