Yes i now there has been plenty of threats about this subject!

But i am looking to buy a new laptop, for gaming, image editing and study, but im not sure what to buy, the processors are

    Intel Core i5 430m
    Intel Core i5 520m
    Intel Core i5 540m
    Intel Core i7 720qm

My problem is that i havent seen any comparison og all processors, and that could be nice if any one know where there is one.

Sorry for my crappy englis, i am from Denmark

the i7 is better, but that doesnt mean you need it if your not doing demanding tasks. If it only cost a small amount more money I would go with the i7 just to have that extra power if/when you need it.

rather than going for 8 slow threads I'd go for 4 fast ones. And my Cinbench runs on both proved it true since the final render time was quite similar on both i7 720QM and i5 540, somewhere within 1m40s. i5 is easier on battery too

See thats the same i supposed, it's because i want to buy a MSI GX640 and in Denmark it only comes with a Core i5 430m, you cant upgrade it, so i just wanted to hear if its nessesary, and were in germany or the UK they do upgrade the processor

The 430m will be a fine gaming processor. I wouldn't worry at all about it, and would actually suggest it over the i7 for gaming, especially in such a thin laptop.

MSI GX640 isn't that thin but it will take a core i7 -720qm easily compared to an envy 15 lol... but i would take i7-720qm... its a quad and more future proof... also turbo boost and all don't make it slow or anything...
