I need to find a comparison between the ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 and the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT. If you can show me a site where i can compare them that would be cool.
If you want to tell me which one is more powerful that will be useful, thought I am more interested in the level of difference than just which one is better.
thanks!

notebookcheck.
I would take their rankings with a massive pinch of salt, but their specifications is usually accurate. -
http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-9600M-GT.9449.0.html
there you go if you look at the side you will see that the 9600m gt is faster
hope it helps -
I would not trust notecheck too much
the FireGL V5700 is the HD 3650 DDR3, its performance should be on par with the 9600m GT. -
Yeah I don't trust notebookcheck either so much. The good ones are www.hwbot.org and www.notebookjournal.de if there is a review of the NB you're looking for. It's in german but benchmarks are enough. Usually.

Im not sure why you try to compare gaming card Vs workstation product. Both are optimized to meet the demand of specific applications. Geforce for handling shaders and textures, while FireGL for huge amount of geometry.
If you could specify what are the applications you intend to run then it will be lot easier to give any advise. -
There is little to no difference between 'consumer' and 'professional' GPUs from both ATi and NV. The main difference is in the video BIOS (and even there it's not much) and the driver software. The professional driver software, which requires the pro-level video bios, concentrates much more on very high quality 3D/CAD/Medical imaging than the rapid-fire frame rates consumer cards require.
There are hacks around that let consumers install the pro drivers, but given the significant frame-rate compromises needed to run truely high-quality images, it's unlikely that anyone would really want to do it. -
Those are both good GPU manufacturers I can assure you, as long as their video memory have no big differences and they can be properly clocked with your chipset I'm very sure things will do fine...
