I don't know where to put it so i will put it here. Does any company like Intel plan to come out with a mobile i9 processor? I'm curious to see if they do because if they do i'm definitely going to use it to make my laptop.

No current plans. Gulftown is going to be a desktop processor with a TDP of 130W.

I would think it would happen sometime, but not all that soon. Maybe 2 or 3 years?

quad core have not truly become mainstream. cheapest mobile quad core costs $350. once amd has llano out at reasonable clockspeed i expect intel to bring down mobile quad cores to desktop levels(cheapest around 200). at that point intel could potentially target hexa core mobile cpu. especially with 22nm.

How is quad not mainstream? I see quad core options all over.
