Hi all... i'm configuring a "future" laptop for me

i'm just wondering if i should go with

    -Momentus xt

    - ssd + hhd removing OD

    - msata + hhd removing OD

    - hhd + msata

what do you think it's best?

it would be for a P150EM Clevo
    i7 3630
    AMD 7970

    Best regards

Best setup ever? ALL SSD storage... along with your ODD installed/onboard.

Best from your options? mSATA + HHDD (and keep your ODD).

mSATA= 256GB Crucial M4 with at least 30% left 'unallocated' from first use.
HHDD= Hybrid Hard Disk Drive (I recommend the 750GB Momentus).

    Good luck.

    ok...
the first idea was to have an ssd and take off the OD for an HDD.
that would be ok, because i don't remember the last time i used the OD. however we always need something when we don't have it, that's why I asked for opinions.

so the other solution i was thinking, was pretty much that one you just said: msata but + normal hhd.

Would the momentus XT make huge diference to the normal hhd? because it will be for storage and games only.
About the ssd vs ssd mSata, does it make a huge diference also? this would be for OS and software.

also, what do you mean when u say "30% left 'unallocated' from first use"?

Good morning everyone. Sorry for spamming and pulling this up but i won't I do it again.

I just would like a couple of more opinions on this.

Besides what i asked previously, I would also like to know something about using an SSD for OS boot. Because i read somewhere that some folders (temp and so on) should not be there, but in a normal hhd instead to make fewer Reads/writes in the ssd.

Best regards and thank you for the attention

the temp files, cache files etc. not being on the ssd is for preserving the life of the ssd. less writes longer life span.

honestly though I wouldn't bother, with the way how we upgrade our machines every few years means you'll be replacing your ssd before writing to it starts to become a problem.
