I recently had a burned mobile PCIexpress socket on my notebook, and I did a wast search for repair options, and I came across a number of notebook motherboard repair firms on the net.
did anyone have any experience with those, and what's the global opinion/experience with those?
and is my battle futile from the start?

well it acctually depends on how oold your laptop is?
i mean if its quite new theres hope and if its more than 2 yeaars old or so i would suggest going for a new notebook as mobos are quite expensive and is the third or the second most improtant part of your system after your screen and GPU if you have one -
What type of laptop do you have?
I burned out my motherboard on my laptop but I decided not to fix it because it would cost me $500. Normally it is just better to buy a new laptop because your laptop will be outdated soon anyways.

well, I already bought a new laptop(HP), but I'm not giving up on the old one yet.
mobile pcexpress socket burned up. and I guess that wouldnt be such a hard fix.
it's a FSC 2ghz centrino, 17" screen... it would be a waste to move on, especially since I paid 2000euros for it.
I'm not willing to pay 500euros for a new board, so repair is only solution.
hence the inquiry. (I'm still looking on ebay and other stores if someone is selling it)
here are some of the repairers I gogled across. that's why I wanna know if I should go with them, and if someone has something good to recommend.
