Hello, my friend has ultrabook DELL Latitude E7240 , i want to ask , which SSD disk can be used for upgrade for msata socket. In specifications of some ssd msata disks in my local shop, there are 4mm samsungs Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 4mm | Alza.sk and 7mm intels Intel 530 240GB SSD bulk | Alza.sk

So whats the 4 mm and 7 mm diference ? Which one is compatible? Thanks

    Both SSDs are compatible.

    The Intel data sheet
shows that the 530 mSATA SSD is 3.8mm thick.

The 2.5" version of the Intel 530 SSD is 7mm thick and whoever prepared the web page you linked to probably didn't appreciate the difference between the two SSD types.

The 7mm is inconsistent with both the "mSATA" in the description and the picture.

If in doubt then check with the supplier.
