hey guys i just bougt an msi 1651 barebone and i installed:
    -p8600 intel processor
    -crucial 1gb ddr-2 800mhz (x2)
    -WD 320gb 2.5 hdd
    -intel 5100 wireless

after i installed all parts i booted it up
all the lights came on and so did the msi screen...
    and then poof..it shut off...???
so then i popped in my vista cd and powered it on but same result. It wouldnt let me go into BIOS because the msi screen only went on for a second.
    so whats wrong?
i also tried loading it without the battery and just ac adapter.
and whats even weirder is that after it shuts down it tries to reboot again and again
any help would be really great!!!!
    thanks

That sounds like possibly a memory problem...you might considering booting with each of the memory sticks by themselves in case one is bad.

when you put the system together, did you make sure to lock the cpu into the motherboard?
All you need to do is turn the one screw to the lock position. If you do not do this, the system will either only turn on part way, or not at all. Please double check, and get back to us.
The only other question is the memory. Try powering it up with one memory card at a time and see if anything else changes
