I pulled out a card before stopping the device on my card reader before. Now, even after restarting, the reader won't read the card. Anyone know how to fix this?

I only have one sd card. I used my friend's nikon card in another slot and it worked.

It won't even detect the card? Will your camera or whatnot use it? You may have hosed your card if there was voltage applied to it as you removed it.

Hmmm, I had a simular problem a while back. I had a 64 MB Lexar SD card, it work for a couple of times and then suddenly it doesnt work on my card reader adapter. But it does work in my camera, I scanned the card for errors and I found it has 1 MB bad sectors. I have other SD cards, and it worked fine. Maybe the card has bad sectors preventing the card reader from reading the card.

While the card is in the camera, go to My computer or Window explorer, just right click on the drive, go to properties, tool tab,and then click on Error-checking - Check Now.

I dont believed that you can repair bad sectors.
