    hello guys,

    I did not use my old laptop for a year, and now it does not turn on. My laptopo is Dell (Vostro 1500). When I plug in the charger, power light blink once, but it does not turn on. I also have changed the motherboard but the samething happens.
    I have tried taking out battery and hold the button for 1 minute and it did not work.

    I would appreciate any idea.

    We're talking about an 8 year + old notebook?

    And, a Dell too?

    This is a blessing in disguise.

    Take the HDD out and get any Data you might want, but this is now officially landfill material.


    Of course, you can try removing/replacing RAM and AC adaptor too, but I think you've already spent too much time and $$$ by trying a new M/B already.

    I have a dell win 7 laptop that just beeps and will not turn on. I tried replacing the ram with good ram that did not work.
    The beeping does not have a pattern, it just keeps beeping if it is turned on. No bios screen comes up.
