    hello, i just got a dell vostro 1500.
    almmost all documents cant open.
    it will bring up off line page and shows me adobe reader cant read the document. why is this so and what can i do?
    am afraid to go online with it since am not sure of the anti virus. the anti virus seems week.

    He can't browse the internet because he is to afraid to go online. Apparently his AV is "week".

    First of all, get over it and go online. You're not gonna die. Even if you have a weak AV, you're still safe online. Second of all, there is no such thing as a weak AV. If it's one of the popular brands out there, it's more than enough to protect you.

    do you mean open all documents on your PC, or just from your flash drive? What is your flash drive, like a USB pen? Are you sure it's just not that thats dead?

    And yeah the anti-virus thing, just do it.

    I think that he is saying that he can't open the files on is USB drive, because I think that the files are corrupt and he thinks that it is a virus or something.

    Try open the documents in another computer.

    As for the antivirus, don't worry if you think it is weak. What antivirus software is it? I use Avast which is free and it is fine.
