I am seeking a reasonably priced laptop for Revit, 3ds Max, CS3/4 and the e6400 is tempting me but I have read speculation about the nvs line not working well with CAD/3d software.

Does anyone have any facts/experience on the matter?

    Thanks, David.

I have the NVS140 in my Lenovo, and I must say it isnt all that powerful. The NVS160 is based on the same core, so it is still a chipset based dedicated card. The performance will be bad in CAD software. I suggest getting a laptop with at least a FX series quadro.

I can personally see a tremendous difference between my NVS140 and my FX2500M. The rendering performance is like night and day.
