    thanks for replying on the mem vs hard drive.

    I think hitachi is the only one that makes 7200 rpm?


    if not which is the best one out there. I saw an article on this site before about this but I could not find it again.

    Seagate also makes a 7200RPM drive. I like Hitachi drives in that they have great parts, but they make noticable clicking noises and run a bit warm IMO. Still a very good drive.

    which one is better seagate or hitachi

    Better performance on the Hitachi, but noisier. Seagte runs cooler and quieter, but not quite as fast. Both are great drives and would make an excellent upgrade.
