    1024x768x16.7 million colours (clean stretch)
    1280x1024x16.7 million colours (clean screen)
    1400x1050x16.7 million colours (native resolution)

Hi. With this screen, if I go iin 1024, will the quality be good?

    Thanx

In 1024 your aspect ratio will be ok, but it will still be scaled and therefore stink.

This is about the hundredth time you've asked this question.

If your native resolution is 1400x1050 and you use 1024x768, it will not look good. If you absolutely need 1024x768, then don't get the V6J. Native resolution is the only resolution you should use.

Mostly true, with 2 exceptions. One is using a 4:3 ratio on widescreen (running, say, 1600x1200 on a 1920x1200 screen). The other is running 800x600 on a UXGA screen, which won't look great, but will scale perfectly and is useful for very graphic-intensive work. The same is true of 640x480 on a 1280x960 screen, but I can't think of any laptops that use that off the top of my head.

True, but completely irrelevant in this scenario as he's trying to run at XGA resolution on an SXGA+ screen.

    I hear you TheRunaway.

Hey MazdaSpeed, if you want to run it at 1024x768 go right ahead, but you will realize what TheRunaway and others have been saying about it looking a bit odd.

So enough with the questions and just find out for yourself.

    :D
