My laptop's hdmi connection has audio issues. after months of working with HP on the problem, I'm forced to send it in for warranty work. I've talked with a couple other people on different forums who had the same issue and they said they had no issues with the warranty service and HP had to replace the Mother Board. So I'm assuming this is the same issue and it will have the same resolution.
However, these are only 2 people who didn't have problems sending in the laptop for work to be done. I've read nightmare stories of people sending in their laptop, and I'm hesitant if it's even worth it. Should I just write off the hdmi connection as a loss and keep the laptop or should I cross my fingers and send it in? If you have had warranty work done before, what was your experience like? Could you tell your computer had been abused? Any help would be greatly appreciated

When I had my DV2422CA, I had to send it in for a bright spot on the screen.
It took them over two weeks, and they didn't even fix the problem. I got it back with scratches. They did replace the motherboard, though.
I'm in Canada, so your experience may be different. -
I sent in my HP to get the motherboard change and it took about 2 months. I was mad because it took so long. To make it worse, I got it back with a whole bunch of scratches on the cover. No more HP for me.

Or if your screen in disoriented (scan lines going through like crazy), they won't do jack. All they said was that the Harddrive was corrupted and they removed the "backup" hard drive cause of it. To me, HP is no longer an HP. They are CrapLee. But who knows, I may have got a lemon laptop (which is normal in Tech.) There is always those Pros and Cons about tech, if u ask me
