Im about to buy the Dell XPS m1210, and i couldnt decide between the 80 gb 5400rpm HDD or the 80 7200rpm HDD. Battery life is important to me, but as long as it doesnt suffer to much (with the 5400 rpm HDD it apparently runs for about 3 hours 50 min with a dvd constantly playing witht the 9 cell battery which i intend to get) i wouldnt mind the 7200rpm. Does anyone have any idea how much it will affect the battery life? Also, for anyone familiar with this laptop, do u know if there is any difference between the different different wireless cards offered (they all seem to be the same, offering 802.11 b/g or a/g)?

I think it boils down to if you're gonna need the performance. Since they're both 80GB you might as well go for the 7200 rpm drive. I have it and don't have the 9 cell battery. I don't know how much it will affect the battery.
When choosing the wireless cards, always go with the Intel brand offering over the Dell. I wouldn't get draft N just yet either.

Battery effect will be very small.
