    Hey Guys,

i think i am giving up on that so i need your help.
I have 2 bare SSD drives which need a case so i can mount it in a Laptop.
Also i have a few CF to sata cards which needs the same.

So i am looking for an adapter to fit a bare SSD into and then mount it into a Laptop (standart height).

Thanks any help is very appreciated.

    Michael

    Bare SSD???

I would just get some cushioning material(s) and stuff it in there. ;)

Don't know about the CF to SATA 'adaptor' you need - where would you put that in a notebook?

How "bare" is bare? Is it a SSD where someone removed the casing, or is it something like an Intel 310 where it's a non-standard SATA interface?

ok sorry havent been on here in a couple of days....
    anyway to answere your question......

I have the SSD without case. its a standart SATA connector.

chx1975> that first link looks like what i need just without the mini Sata to Sata connector. the SSD i have plugs straight into SATA on laptop but i cant secure it since its smaller the a regular 2.5" HDD
edit: The second link shows that 2.5" HDD frame looks what i need but it has the screws in the wrong spot to make it work.

tilleroftheearth> i already have the adpater for CF and MiniPCie to sata but can not secure them. I would need a case to mount them in and then secure them to the 2.5" HDD mounts inside the laptop.

Judicator> SSD looks like a 1.8" SSD circuit board with a Standart SATA2 connector. It plugs straight into the SATA slot on a Laptop

    Hope that helps a little
    TY

Hm. Well, I'm not sure if anyone sells just a casing... the closest I can think of offhand that would be easy to find would be a caddy, the ones that some manufacturers use to secure a hard drive to their bays. Getting the right screw holes to match up could be a problem, though.

Hm. I did find this link which seems to be a company that would manufacture SSD casings, but I don't know if they have minimum orders or anything else like that.

ok i am hesitating ordering since they charge $52 for shipping and $30 for a bank fee unless I western Union the money. That`s for 3 housings.
the Aluminum are $15 a piece the plastic are $10 a piece.
Kind of being unsure if i loose my money or not might wait a little bit and see..
