I meant to delete the folder on external drive, but accidentally clicked on the folder namd in C drive (HDD). After just a few seconds I realized it and stopped. Trying to put back the deleted files, I looked at the recycle bin, but there's no deleted files from that folder. So does it mean in the first few seconds no file was deleted yet?

A normal delete in Windows just moves the file to the recycle bin. Nothing actually gets deleted until the recycle bin is filled. If you cancel a delete, the files just get moved out of the recycle bin and back to its original location.

Usually unless you shift-delete a file or folder a message will come up asking if you are sure you want to delete. Did you get that message and then continue?
Unless you did a shift-delete, and there are no files in the recycle bin, it would be a pretty safe assumption that no files were deleted. -
