i just installed a mydigitalssd msata bp3 128gb and it was working fine until i decided to update the firmware. i used S8FM032 July 11 2012 in windows executable to update. ( MyDigitalSSD BP3 Firmware Update For Phison S8 Controller SSDs) the program ended up having an error at the end (i dont remember what it was). after that it would not show up in my computer so i looked in disk manager. it was listed as having 2mb storage and even then i couldnt make any partitions. i tried reinstalling the drivers but it didnt help, i tried to run the updater again but all it gives me is "failed! not running on flash normal code now! -s8r" and lists the firmware as s8r00000
does anyone have any ideas on how to recover the firmware?

Might want to contact the manufacturer. They should be able to replace the drive since its still under warranty.

That's about all you can do if the drive is bricked too.

I'm having the exact same problem. Did you find a solution?

Seems like the solution is to contact the manufacturer for a replacement.

    Good luck.

Yup, pretty much. That is unless you have the equipment, knowledge and skill to flash the firmware directly onto the controller, not to mention that you will need the complete firmware as well.

I think there is a person from mydigitaldiscount who regularly posts on this forum. I am curious to know how they handle your issue. Hopefully they will replace the drives.
