Internally there is not much you can do D: the other option is to get a external cooler and change the fan speeds inside using a program.

Also, is it overclocked or anything? and where do you use it? do you prop up the back at all so that the fans have more air to suck in?

Uh. Its hard to find and it has to be the right thickness. They are in fact generally known as thermal pads.

Why are you having cooling problems? this is a good laptop...

me and alot of other users are having cooling problems, bottom line it's big and conducts more heat. i don't care about the thickness i can always layer it, but do you know what it is, it's not thermal pad's because they differ, it does act like a thermal pad but i'm wondering what they use i'd like to use the same.

I think you would have better heat dissapation if you bought some nice thermal paste and put it on itself because chances are it has better conducting qualities then the pad.
