im thinkin about gettin one next year for skool, but for what i want in a computer would be expensive to buy straight from the company so i was thinkin about just waiting and upgrading later. now, if im correct, for changing a HD theres just a release switch and the old one pops out, new one goes in, not to hard. but for ram how is that upgraded? would it be hard for someone thats never worked on a laptop b4?

RAM and HD are the easiest to upgrade on a notebook, it's mainly a few screws and thats about it. For RAM, there are clips, but thats straight forward. For the HD, there is a caddy that holds the HD in place, just take that off, and thats about it.

It's pretty simple for those two. The rest I would not recommend unless you know what you are doing, mainly the CPU and wireless card.

Yeah they are the easiest and most cost effective item to upgrade on a laptop. The only problem with the ram is that it could be located underneath your keyboard which would involve taking out your keyboard.
But hopefully the location of your ram is at the bottom of your laptop which just involves turning it off/flipping it over and removing the battery then unscrew 3/4 screw to remove the ram cover/lid and unclip it as Cori mentioned.
