What I do is only charge my battery when its really low. I never leave the AC power plugged in, also when I'm at home, I take out the battery and just use AC power. I feel that my conservation techniques are prolonging the battery life/

no.. don't do the first part of what you said, if you wait until it's low, you kill off more cycles, better to charge it whenever you can

also, although it will save your battery if you take the battery out, it's not worth the tiny difference compared to what would happen if the AC was unplugged or the power went out where you live and you lose what you were working with .. not to mention how many times you have to take the battery off and put it back on .. also, if the power goes out and your hd was set on performance, your hd could have some big problems

no such thing, once you get your laptop battery, it should be at 50%, what's best would be to start charging it to 100%, but in essence, you can do anything you want.. these are lith-ion batteries, not the old crap that laptops came with long time ago that required battery daycare

    just don't worry about it
