soon I'll be reciveing a respectable amout of money that is enough to invest in a TWO 512GB SSD's, it'd be foolish to spend THAT much of money without doing homework, now I 'm happy with my current intel 320 as it increased an extra hour to battery life, but it's always a good idea to increase the space, will be needing one for my M14x (soon) and the other is top-performance for my next desktop..

the question is intel is releasing the next gen SSD's in the Q3/4 of this year, any idea about how low they consume power comparing to the current one?

From what I can see, the 320 series use very little power compared to the 330 and 520 series. I don't think the next generation could use much less power than the 320 series.

(Intel report the 320 as idle at 0.1W and load at 0.15W, while the others are 0.6W idle and 0.85 load)
