    not sure if this is the right place...but is this a graphics card problem?

    i have trouble with WMP playback. i reinstalled the codecs too.

    You should try reinstalling gpu drivers to see if that helps.But first unistall the current ones then get the newer ones. Ive never seen this problem so i cant really help, use something else that plays video like vlc or realplayer.

    all of my videos used to work fine but now they ALL are like this during the past few days

    Maybe the files are corrupted or something i dont know what to tell, since ive never seen vids play like that.

    I get that sometimes on my old desktop. Your CPU is either not powerful enough or more likely, is being used by some other program at the same time, reducing the amount of power given to play the videos and thus giving it some "lag."

    With my Pentium 4 CPU, I get this often when trying to play anything 720p or higher.
