hello to all of them are new forum,
the problem lies' on a notebook fujitsu s6120 that the backlight fails, however, I opened the monitor and I measured the power input finding the inverter 14 volts continue so I bought a new inverter of the same model and I replaced. just installed has been lit, then turn off your PC to close the screen and not more enlightened. control and 'everything's OK. and then I convinced myself that it had caused some short in the re-so 'I decide to buy a second inverter.
finally get back the object and is replaced but this time the monitor remains dark from the beginning unlike the first inverter that at least for five minutes had worked, I can not understand: will certainly be skipped the lamp! I find a lamp same on ebay and replacing, someone told me that if the inverter not feel the burden of the lamp is not active, then ricostruisco the situation and I also explain why the second inverter had not worked. today replacing the lamp and the monitor remains dark !!!!!!!!!!
then what is the problem? Having purchased 3 parts are still at the point of departure is never possible?
There are two things that I leave questioned 1) the power input from the inverter 14 v haul to 3-4 volts just connect the inverter even without load
    2) the lamp that I came despite new packed it ends black and they told me that this is symptom of burning, that is, in essence can be seen from this detail when a lamp is burned because you can not 'test with a normal multimeter, but I bought from a very reliable power seller, can I have sent a failure ??!!!
someone can give me some help or do test understand something? thanks to all in advance.

    Check the connections.
If the ends of the bulb are black, the bulb is about to go out.

The bulb is probably burnt out. If it is a newer model laptop all you must do is buy a replacement and slide it into the slot. Otherwise, you will need to unsolder the older bulb and solder on a new one (I did this with an old Dell Inspiron).

    elmik,
I had same problem with my S6120. Backlight was not working properly. Sometimes helped when I Closed and open lapton (don't try to switch it off).
If it behave like this, then the problem is in unstable connection between chip which control intensity and inverter caused by mechanical deformation of the main board.
Try and let me know. I will post tip how to fix it with some description and photos.
