ok, here my choose for a clevo 570tu (same cpu, same mem, etc) : nvidia m260m or geforce 9800 gts.
I read several tests and I can't figure out if a 260m is really worth buying.
On some tests it has better performances, on others not (3dmark05).
    Both dx10.
More shader (112 against 64), but slower (1375 against 1500).
It supposes to use less power - really important -, but seem it's a 75w too - and doesn't work so much colder. ( rooms I'm working into are around 30°c)

And the key point, it's 250/300€ more  . That's a lot. (on a 860TU is less than 100€, go figure  )

Sure I'm looking for some gaming performances :D but on a 60h/week use, I'm using my laptop 55h doing java coding on linux. 15% more expensive, for few fps, few hours a week, I'm wondering.

So what's your opinion(s) ? I go with the 260m or I save my money, and for example put it on a ocz vertex ?

    Thanks in advance.

How much more is the 280M? The chassis can support it.

    I'd reckon a 260M will perform ~20-30% faster than a 9800M GTS.

Vantage GPU bench will give you the best performance clue.

    Thanks for the reply.

    a 280m is 200€ more than the 260m, out of question ;)

    here a chart Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.

the 260m looks 17% faster, so around 5fps. Interesting but I will wait for some power/heat confirmation, and buy the one using less power.

    Thanks.
