How sturdy are USBs? If you plug it in and take it out a lot will it break?

the port is pretty durable. I am sure I have takes my usb card out of my laptop a few thousand times, so it will last :D
The only way you can kill a USB port is to short it or draw too much current from it, blowing the usb hub on the motherboard. But if thats not the case, and your just talking about physically inserting a usb device and removing it, I dont think any problems will occur.
If anything the port may become a little loose over time, but I doubt it would make the port unusable.

inserting and removing usb devices is not bad at all

just do not remove them when they are being physically used.
Use the safely remove hardware icon to remove/eject usb devices.
