Download SetFSB, find Pll diagnosis on clock list, press Get fsb and show us what's there.

There are list of clock generators which You can choose in setfsb. On the end of this lists You can choose "Pll diagnosis". Its not particular clock, it will probably allow You to read the registers of clock generator. When You do this make the screenshot and show us. It should look like this: Imageshack - setfsb.jpg - Uploaded by darnok44

Actually I dont know for sure what pll You have exactly but I'm sure that You have clock generator made by IDT(byte 7 bits 3-0 (0.0.0.1=IDT), I suspect that it's ICS9LPRS355BKLF because this one exactly among others (Raltek, Silego) was used in DV5 series motherboards made by Quanta. Bit 6 from byte 9 = 1 (TME_Readback bit) what mean that no overclocking - TME enable. I'm giving You link to thread on this forum about overclocking with setfsb where is explained how to disable this TME lock: http://forum.notebookreview.com/har...pll-pinmod-overclocking-methods-examples.html and where are 3 examples of overclocking lappy with this clock generator. Unfortunately I know only one way to disable TME it's grounding pin responsible for TME and that require probably disasembly laptop, finding pll chip and soldering. I suggest You to contact one of the member this forum nando4 who was dealing with overclocking HP laptops with above 9LPRS355 and maby he will help You workaround TME without soldering.
