hi guys i know overclocking has been debated a lot in this section of the forum but i'm think of overclocking my c2d to squeez a lil bit of performance in games, which is all i do.
so, if anyone could help i'd be very gratefull, i.e., telling the program to do it, oh and by the way my BIOS is locked so that option is out
i'll give more details of my laptop if you ask me for :D

If you're running a Dell, you can forget about it :)

Otherwise, setfsb offers software overclocking, ThrottleStop can also be used to enable permanent IDA (increases multiplier maximum by 1)

The clock generator depends on your motherboard.
Do you have any information regarding your motherboard?
Perhaps I can help find you the correct pll :)

what are u running? Is it HP? Because if it is forget even trying.. u'd need a pin mod to overclock and u could brick ur laptop...

If you can find the datasheet for the PLL, abo the creator of setfsb can probably add it to setfsb.
