    1. Most importantly, is even it possible to bump up t5250's 667 MHz FSB to 800 MHz? That would make it a bona fide T7100 @ 1.8Ghz, save for the label.
    Is it hardware-locked or softlocked?

    2. Bumping up FSB to 800 on Santa Rosa would not mean needing 800 MHz memory as the memory controller is locked at 667 MHz, right?

    3. What is the benefit of a t7100 over a t5250? How much better is it in SPi or wPrime, for example? It's really hard to find benchmarks.

You can use ClockGen if you have got a compatible chipset and clock generator chip. However, I don't think the Intel chipsets are supported.

On the Samsung R20 with the ATI 1250M chipset I managed to push the T2250 with 533MHz FSB up to 800MHz FSB. It was starting to get a bit warm so I didn't leave it there very long since it wasn't my computer.

I have had no luck using clockgen on any Core Duo, Core 2 Duo notebooks.
