    play music using soundcard on compac with vista

    I want to play music in chat rooms using a sound card.I can hear music being played in room,but cannot play.I have a compac cq60 with vista.When I clic on speaker icon,and select 'recording device'all that is there is'microphone' and 'internal aux jack'.I hear sounds from vista ok.Hope someone can help.Im not sure if I'm in right forum.
