I recently purchased a dv2000 along with a wireless keyboard/mouse and 19 inch wide lcd. I need a port replicator the would have a vga out, usb outs, and a speaker out would be nice. I would like one cable connectivity. I do have a few questions though.
1) if the one cable that connects it to my computer is USB 2.0 then would things be backed up and run slow off of the replicator, including screen? There is an "expansion port 3" to use also.
2) I know there is an expansion dock but I don't need any of the other stuff, only the port replicator.... is there an hp one i'm missing or another brand which fits my needs?
Thanks all!

I actually picked up the xb3000 one from Hp and I quite like it. I picked up a targus one and disliked the idea I would have to use it via the USB. Another bad part about the targus was the design would not allow me to fit it under the notebook because the 12 cell battery fit is weird. There is something weird thru it seems that with the replicator connected the notebooks onboard ports function oddly.
My favorite feature about the replicator is that is includes component out! I haven't had the time to fiddle with it but I can hook it up to my Samsung 26" HDTV LCD (4000:1 contrast ratio *sigh*) that way or stick it to the TV with the VGA (looks beautiful so far, the nvidia 7200 actually brought up the LCD's resolution nicely, my x1000 never could do that right).
I actually picked this up on sale for $149 at compusa (Hp and bestbuy had it on sale too, but I also wanted the 90w adapter also and they had it on sale for $59). Keep an eye open, the Targus would of been $79.99 after rebate from Fry's but the xb3000 seemed a better buy.
