SInce Montevina will be release in June, can we expect most of the current laptops without it to drop in price in the same month? Do different companies have different price agendas?

Acer cut prices here for 10% average (some top models had almost 20% cut!) two weeks ago. That's why I purchased mine :D.

As mentioned above you are already seeing some price adjustments. Montevina is a planned release. You will not see a reduction like I think you want as no one will be sitting there with many notebooks going, "ha, who knew", it is phased in phased out.

No one is going to sell their computers at a loss just because of Montevina. The majority of the computer buying consumer base doesnt know or care what Montevina is.

The prices that are out now are as good as it going to get.

Manufacturers and retailers will be trying to run down their inventories so there is nothing left to sell off when the new models arrive. We are seeing some discounting at the moment which is probably an attempt to keep the sales staff occupied since many potential purchasers will be deferring their decisions for a few weeks.

We also don't know how abundant the new models will be during their first few months. Scarcity will tend to keep prices up until supplies are good.
