The only ssd that my local store has are ocz. I'm getting ready to upgrade my 7720g. What are the probabilities of having issues? I am running an Intel on my main notebook. Plus, I have a 750 gb for data storage. So data safety is not an issue.

The probability is very high (up to 10x than with any other SSD).

Just because the product is simply 'readily available' doesn't mean that it should be used...

(Intel 520 Series, Crucial M4 - 240GB capacity or larger are much better alternatives...).

Good choice for your SATA2 powered system - still getting great mileage out of my 320's (160GB).

(I think if OCZ's track record were to change - it would be headline news all around the (tech) world). ;)

Sadly enough you are right about ocz lol. But I have one and it runs great :) It's hit or miss it seems, and its often miss based on reviews. Which is unacceptable. But I got lucky I guess.

Ocz agility 3, 360gb sata iii. $200. I also have a Samsung SSD at 120gb, and it is great as well.

Also doing well with my 320 160GB. I gave SandForce a try with the 330 and so far so good, but even if the SF-2281 is universally a good controller, OCZ is still a terrible company to deal with. Even if they produced some of the most reliable drives I still wouldn't buy them until their customer support improved.
