Hi.
I bought a pair of usb speakers for my notebook. When i plug it in, the sound is very nice and works through the speakers. However, when i decide i want to use headphones (for itunes or something) the sound will still go through the speakers after i plug in the headphones. So, I've tried to unplug the speakers and plug in the headphones, but I've found that they'll be no sound until i restart the program (itunes or whatever i'm using).
How can I fix this? Is there a proper way to remove the usb speakers so that i don't have to keep restarting the programs (itunes, etc.) to get the sound to come out of my laptop speakers/headphones?
Thanks.

I'll take a wild guess and say, use Safely Remove Hardware when you want to stop using your speakers and then take them out. Hey, it's worth a shot!

the problem is that the safely remove hardware icon doesn't show up in my taskbar and if it does (because i plugged in other electronics), the usb speakers don't show up there.

I have the similar problem! I googled it for one day. But I didn't find some useful information. Thank you for your information. It solve my question.
