    i have just added a 1gb ram to my laptop, and when i turned on my laptop, it did not even go into windows i just got a black screen, with no words nothing. When i put the 500 back, the laptop started working again, do u know what the problem might be?

    You probably have a defective stick of memory. Return it from where ever you got it or get it exchanged or something, because there is nothing you can do yourself about a bad stick of memory.

    ok, thank you. So its not like a common problem or any of that right? I might just get my money back and keep the two 500s.

    Have you tried using the gb stick by itself, or in whichever of the slots you didn't put it in during the first attempt?
