Looks like the Core i3M or i5M has almost the same performance as Core 2 Duo Mobile according to the chart. They are just 10-25% faster. But the Core 2 Duo's can be overclocked in most gaming laptops while the Core i's are still unable to unless it's an unlocked multiplier version.

or just look up the processors on intel.com

did you really think that intel wouldn't provide those kind of charts?

    i7 > Core 2 Quad > i5 > i3 > Core 2 Duo

The matter gets deeper, but I just leave it there, since the mobile C2Q and C2D are now being extincted.

Actually all i5 M outperform mobile Quads in almost every situation.

fmac, it will never be accurate because in that site they use average. And between processors of the same series and family it will be no be good.

For example (just taking a number)

    3 sumbmisions for 430m
    - one is 50
    - another is 50
    - another is 55
    - total = 155
    - average = total/(# of submisions) = 51.7

    2 submissions for 520
    - one is 60
    - another is 40
    - average = 50

In Notebookcheck, they use the results from the benchmarks that they make for reviews.
