when you decide to buy a new gadget isnt fun doing all the research? As of yesterday i knew nothing of laptops, now i feel i am getting somewhere. However, just wondered if it was better to go for a slower duo core pentium or a faster pentium M???
I'm gonna get the Dell 640M and they both have 1gb (533mhz) mem and 80gb hard drive. And ive gone for the normal screen rather than the True-life thingy that some people dont seem to like.
BUT one has a pentium M 760 2Ghz processor and the other a pentium duo core T2050 1.66ghz processor. Which will be the faster machine (as if any question like that is straight forward!)
I will be using the internet, MS Office and photoshop. Gaming isnt important.
    Cheers for the help

(or just to throw me off completely, any other better/comparable machines??!!)

Core Duo has better performance and battery life.

Now, the market is focus on Core Duo, i guess that P-M will discontinue soon. It is obvious to see that manufactuers make a new model for Core Duo, not only the performance is better, also the price is not a huge difference.
