    Hey All,

I'm planing on buying the px5 headphones from turtle beach to use with my envy 14.

I would also like to know I can use the headphones with my pc and still experience 7.1 audio?

    Here is the headphones: http://www.turtlebeach.com/product [...] e-px5.aspx

    Thanks!

IMO for the same price, you can get much better 2.0 headphones than any 5.1 or 7.1 headphones. Btw your link isn't correct.

First, you can only truly experience stereo with headphones. However, there are programs that manipulate the sound to simulate a multi-speaker effect from the pair. Since 7.1 is a rare multi speaker configurations to start with, I wouldn't put too much solace in creating a believable effect with just a stereo pair. That's an awful lot to ask from a simulation.

That said, peoples taste in sound vary so extensively that some people have been known to find white noise soothing. If you find it convincing, nobody can tell you different.
