    Hello,

I got a used Fujitsu Siemens Celsius h910 for free and it performs much better than my gaming laptop "asus g53sx". Only problem is the Quadro 3000m graphics card in it. I'm just a web designer who work with notepad++, adobe photoshop and adobe illustrator.

I would like to know that if it's possible to swap the card with a mobile GeForce or something. I'm very stupid with notebook hardware and I apologize for it.

You may be able to install the equivalent GeForce driver on the quadro card.

You probably don't want to do that as you might cause a lot of problems for yourself and possibly need to modify the vBIOS of the card, bricking it in process..

Why do you want to change the graphics card? Your Quadro is still able to play games, run high-resolution external monitors, and anything else a GeForce card can do, and in addition it can also run Solidworks, Maya, Autodesk, etc. CAD software. Quadro cards are slightly lower performing at games than GeForce cards, but that's no reason to get rid of yours, in my opinion.

I agree, and for current versions of Adobe CS/CC the Quadro can also be faster .. MUCH faster if you use Premier or get into using a 10 bit display. I Exclusively do all my design work and video editing on Quadro's and Fire Pro's

for gaming it is about the speed of the 750m and is still respectable there as well.

    Hello forumers,

I appreciate the responses. This is my 4th day with the computer and I must agree, it's great for adobe and multi-screen. I'm also a hardcore gamer. The notebook runs most of the games I like, except Battlefield 4. And I don't think it's worth bricking it for bf4.

Not really. I've read that it was possible with some cards, but have no experience doing so. Sorry.

If you're only having issues with BF4, perhaps you could fiddle with the game's graphics settings to get it to work. I've had no issues with playing it on my W520's Quadro 2000M and its stock drivers, other than lower performance (it's basically a GeForce 555M, so it's a bit dated).

The Fujitsu workstation isn't that popular around US. Check if it use a mxm or soldered gpu.

I agree the Quadro should work fine for Battlefield 4. I had a Lenovo ThinkPad W540 for review with a Quadro K2100M, which is weaker than your K3000M, and it played Battlefield 4 at 1600x900 with medium settings.

Get the latest drivers for it off of Fujitsu's support site. You also might consider just wiping the notebook and doing a fresh OS install if you haven't already.

He's got the 3000M, not K3000M. Big difference in performance, but the 3000M should still be able to handle Battlefield 4 at lower settings.
